Seraphim:
Hi, I've just discovered your eBooks thread index. I had no idea you guys had that and it's great!
Now I have a question about the software I need to read them. Umm, I have no idea which reader or software to download. If any one can help me I would really appreciate it.
Thank you and have a great day!

Depends onthe file
TXT Mobireader
LIT MS reader
TR3 Tome raider
PDF Adobe reader
I have all 4 installed, and use each as needed
All but Tome raider is free, which has a keygen floating round here
Seraphim:
Oh ok thank you.
Also, I found Adobe on the internet but where can I get the lit viewer?

instead of using 4 applications, you could use also uBook (it's somewhere in this site), which lets you open several different file types (it does not have support for M$ Reader .lit files, though)
Happy reading!

I find reading on my PDa tiring my eye..should i buy the sony ebook reader or something ..cuz it says it doesnt hurt ur eye.
thebranded:
ubook only supports TXT, .RTF, .HTML, .PML, .PDB and .PRC and picture formats
so you still need the other mentioned readers to do .lit, pdf, tr3 files
Though the ability to read jpeg files from within a zip archive is pretty good, PDA manga viewing anyone?
PDA reading is not to bad, just just reduce the margins and make the font a bit big and its pretty good.

Can anyone tell me what is the best PDF ebook reader? I am using FoxIT, but I hate having to scroll left, then move down then scroll right. And if I zoom out it makes the font to small.
Are there any other options?

Adobe Reader 2
Simple casue it has the PDF tagged conversion, it will refit your PDF so you can read it on a PPC screen without having to scroll.
The conversion can double the size of the file though

If you're willing to invest a little work in your PDF's you can easily "bypass" the bloat caused by tagging.
A little guide:
- Copy all text from your source (even from an already existing PDF) into MS Word (or similar, I use Word so I'll detail the steps for it)
- Activate paragraph marks
- Remove all formatting (Ctrl+H, place cursor in "Replace with", click "more"-button and choose "Style" -> Normal
- Replace all double paragraph marks by single line breaks (Ctrl+h, in "Find what" type ^p^p, in "Replace with" type ^|, replace all)
- Replace all paragraph marks by spaces (Ctrl+h, in "Find what" type ^p, in "Replace with" type a space, replace all)
- Recreate your PDF, with compression at highest level
On a side note: if you give the same treatment to your PDF's, but save them as RTF, and use MobiPocket Creator to turn them into PRC, filesize is similar to PDF, but the loading time on your PPC is one tenth of PDF.
Enjoy.

interesting, lot of steps but if the load time is 1/10 then worth it, (file size does not really bother me, most are under 10mb)
thx
